Recession creates more Entrepreneurs.

The number of people enquiring about setting up their own business has risen significantly in the last 6 months reports Company Partners, with 43% more registrations by those wanting to be their own boss.
Of these, over half (58%) are seeking funding help from Business Angels, but a large number (42%) are simply looking for a partner to start up in business with.
Lawrence Gilbert, the founder of the Company Partners web site, said, “People want to be in control of their own destiny and working for yourself gives that. The ability to work more flexibly and at home is also a big plus for many of those wanting to start their own business.
“The state of the economy does mean that getting loans to start a business from banks is more difficult, so prospective Entrepreneurs are turning to business angels. This is an area that continues to be relatively strong, since Business Angels are looking for good business opportunities to place funds into, now that interest rates on traditional savings are so poor.”
Company Partners ( www.companypartners.com ) is the online matching site, for people to find a like-minded partner to start a business, or to grow an existing business.
